Side Car: Recipe, Preparation & Service

by

The sidecar is a cocktail traditionally made with cognac, orange liqueur (CointreauGrand Marnier, Dry Curaçao or another triple sec), and lemon juice. In its ingredients, the drink is perhaps most closely related to the older brandy crusta, which differs both in presentation and in proportions of its components.

Main alcohol: Brandy
Ingredients: 2 oz Cognac, 3/4 oz Lemon juice, 3/4 oz Triple sec
Preparation: Pour all ingredients into cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake well and strain into cocktail glass.
Served: Straight up (without ice)
Drinkware: Cocktail glass
Primary alcohol by volume: Cognac
